Demonstrating the confidence in reusing In718 AM metal powder through repeat builds with the commercial benefit
LPW has conducted a study to evaluate the impact of metal powder variability during the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) process. A series of density cubes were built from three different batches of AlSi10Mg using different atomising conditions. Nine cubes were built across a range of AM processing parameters, varying beam velocity and beam offsets.
